Or a lot of people see it as a 50/50 fight? I think most people expect AJ to beat him. He is an A side, he is huge, he has monster power at least at mid range, he can fight on the outside. I think if Usyk wins somehow it will be a big upset.
I think Usyk is a closer underdog than both Sanders and Rahman to be honest. USYK can very well win this fight, if he can take AJs best punch.
Odds to win by any method AJ - 4/11 Usyk - 9/4 So this wouldn't be a huge shocker, to put in to some perspective Andy Ruiz was 16/1 to beat AJ by any method in the first fight.
Usyk is more of an underdog than Sanders or Rahman. He is a CW stepping up to fight a huge HW in his backyard. To date Usyk is batting 1.000 in beating opponents in their backyard. If he pulls off beating AJ it will be a huge upset. To beat AJ, unfortunately, he has to KO him, and Usyk is not a big puncher.
No I don't think so. Rahman was a fringe contender with 2 losses, he was a 20-1 underdog. Sanders also had 2 losses and this loss was The Ring magazine's upset of the year. Usyk in comparison has an impeccable pedigree, Olympic champion, unified, undisputed cruiserweight champion and unbeaten. For me he's the biggest threat to Joshua since Wlad and honestly wouldn't shock me if Usyk won. I see this fight as 55-45 in favour or Joshua. I don't think this fight will be easy at all, it probably won't be the back and forth thriller Joshua/Wlad was but I expect it to be fiercely competitive.
Definitely a upset, though I do feel like Uysk has a good chance, but I expect the result to be a Joshua KO with Joshua losing the fight up until that point. Just like Povetkin, Wladimir fighting Joshua.
