Who the hell is Ben Shalom? Surprised there's no threads on here talking about this. I find it really bizzare and weird how he's got a long term deal on Sky Sports when he's never done anything of note in the sport! Yet he's now supposedly the main man on the biggest TV platform for boxing in the UK. Is he related to someone at Sky perhaps. Adam Smiths godson? Bizzare how he got the deal and not Wasserman or someone established. Also 'Boxxer' has to be the most bland, worst name for a boxing promotions ever.
With so much other stuff to moan about right now mate regarding boxing, this isn't top of my list at the moment. At the moment, I'm hot on topics like Shannon Courtenay being a POS Tyson Fury being a hypocrite Boxing allowing drug cheats to carry on fighting Dillian Whyte being a fraud Chisora stealing a living from boxing.
If he consistently delivers quality, competitive fights between boxers on the upside of their careers while sensibly bringing through young prospects and treats the fans with some respect I don't care who he is or what his background unless he's a complete lowlife it's irrelevant. Would be nice to be talking about the Josh Taylor's of British boxing both fighting the best at world level and domestic rather than discussing DAZN's latest bimbo presenter or rating Connor Benn's beard transplant.
He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a law degree in 2015 and became the CEO of boxxer only 2 years later at aged 23 Now the main man at sky sports boxing only 6 years later from graduation at aged 27. Having been around lots of graduates and been a graduate myself from a top university. I can tell you now, you dont get that kind of job so soon after graduation unless you come from serious money and serious connections. In fact law degrees even from top Universities like Nottingham wont get you far and certainly not this far this quickly. I read his supposed back story of how he became CEO of boxxer and its missing some key details.
