Recently, I watched some footages of the Argentinian fighter Eduardo Lausse. What a great middleweight fighter he was! Even though he was more of a crude slugger and his jab wasn't that great (I just mean he arguably wasn't a hidden Ray Robinson or something like that). His punching power was devastating though. He was an explosive southpaw with an amazing left hook (he could bang with both hand either). The Ring magazine lists him as one of the “Top 100 Punchers of All Time”.

Apart from that, his defensive and reflexes were awesome too.

He has beaten for example Gene Fullmer (fight is on youtube). There is a Spanish article about him with the apt title: "Eduardo Lausse, el campeón sin corona." (Champion without a crown). He never fought for the World Championship.

Do you have rather unknown or forgotten boxer(s) that fascinates you?

    Johnny Bratton.
Former welterweight champ with a beatiful style, unfortunately he was inconsistent and suffered from multiple jaw breaks.
His life was a one of the many cautionary tales in boxing, as he died broke and mentally impaired

Bryant Paden. Philly fighter who I think worked with Hopkins original trainer.
Very slick on the inside and was always matched very hard.
Knocked out Calvin Grove in his biggest win.
In his career he met ten unbeaten boxers.
Met another 7 boxers with only one loss.
    Liked Tim Burgess as well.
    Boxed out of New York.
Almost beat number one contender Frankie Randall.

Rafael Herrera - Seems almost forgotten in the shuffle with Olivares and even Castillo, whom he went 1-1 with. beat Olivares both times out too, yet gets almost no ink.

Dave Boy McAuley (,Think that's spelled right)
His fights against Bassa were great and then he won a belt and had some real Rocky fights.

Nice to see Lausse, one of my favorites boxers ever.

Ill say Vicente Saldivar who is kinda forgotten when discussing Mexico greats and in my opinion he is a top 3 mexican ATG just behind Chavez and Olivares.

Another forgotten is Horacio Accavallo, ATG who is not mentioned enough with the likes of Monzon, Perez and Locche as i would like him to be.

For unknown boxer i go with another one from my country Jorge Fernandez, who had two very nice fights with Emile Griffith

Eddie Booker and Elmer Ray. Two guys who probably would be multiple time champions today (just going on record and second hand accounts). Shame footage is basically non-existant.

Mostly just local guys that are probably nigh impossible to find footage of. I still remember Charlie Weir, the Silver Assassin, a local guy that had fast hands and murderous combinations. As a kid I thought he was going to be world champ for sure! Pity his firepower wasn't matched by a solid chin ... he was a glass cannon that broke against the rock that was Davey Moore.

Harry Arroyo - The other lightweight from Youngstown. Tall, rangy, yet with a good body attack and an aggressive counterpunching style, he was just chinny and fragile enough to be in consistently good fights form 1984-1985.

Sergei Artimiev looked like he had a real bright future. The boy could fight.

There's loads to recommend him but he just didn't survive as a figure of interest. And in the YT era, he was so underexposed, that when people did eventually start to upload him (including me) they gave their videos names like ULTRA RARE FOOTAGE OF GREAT FIGTHER and **** like that (not me). Most of those videos are vanished now, but there's almost no explanation for why it happened.
