Pretty much what I think too. Usyk by late stoppage of some kind.

Regarding the Usyk vs Haye and Holyfield best CW debate

The notion that Haye's resume at CW is better than Usyk's is utterly absurd and Holyfield wasn't just artificially enhanced he's the poster boy for steroids. Great fighter and I loved watching him fight but he was a freaking walking PED factory

    Old post

I like Haye (now not so much back then) and I've always rated his power and speed highly. However, he gets a free pass for a lot of the struggles he had and vulnerability he displayed at CW

Stopped by a 40 y/o Carl Thompson albeit he blew his wad after trying to get Thompson out of there

Dropped heavily and came within a whisker of being on the wrong end of a KO loss against blown up SMW journeyman Mock who was 0-4-1 in his last 5 fights and had only stopped 7 of his 21 victims. Haye was in such bad shape after hauling himself off the canvas on wobbly legs he had to rugby tackle Mock to the canvas to buy more time for his head to clear.

Usyk would get absolutely crucified if he got dropped heavily, very badly hurt, and very nearly stopped by a blown up SMW journeyman who was 0-4-1 in their last 5 fights

Haye came within a whisker of getting KO'd by a super-middleweight journeyman for goodness sake

He also went life and death against Fragomeni who would've likely won had he possessed any semblance of power because he was giving Haye hell

Dropped and put on spaghetti legs by Mormeck who wasn't a particularly big puncher at all

Lasse Johansen gave him a tough fight too

Two of his best wins at that weight came against opponents who were packing serious glass in their mandibles (Enzo and Gurov). Both those guys could undoubtedly punch but Guvov had been stopped x 4 going into that fight, 3 times of which early (1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds), and Enzo had been KO'd in 3 by a domestic level and would go on to lose 2 of his next 3 fights via stoppage too, and then the following year after that last KO loss he was brutally sparked out cold by Frenkel which was one of the most violent and ugly KO's thine eyes have ever witnessed. Granted Frenkel was a serious puncher, mind.

He was also stopped by a tiler in the ABAs and by Solis in the world championships

These are Haye's best wins at CW

    Mormeck
    Fragomeni
    Enzo
    Gurov

Very dangerous customer for sure with dynamite in his fists but he displayed a lot of vulnerability at that weight and not only would I confidently pick Usyk to beat him I'd pick him via stoppage too. Resume wise it's not remotely close.

As for walking PED factory Holyfield who FTR took up boxing aged 7 to Usyk's 15, and turned pro aged 22 to Usyk's 2 months shy of his 27th birthday and has only fought once in two years due to injury an Covid. Usyk is fighting the three-belt unified king in his backyard on a deck which couldn't be stacked anymore against him in front of close to 70,000 AJ fans in just his 3rd fight at the weight and 2nd real fight after moving up because late notice sub Witherspoon only turned up to shell up and survive, and only his 2nd fight in 3 years, whereas, Holyfield had six fights at the weight before challenging for the title, was fighting in his own country, had been very active and, as said, he was a walking PED factory.

Joshua looks gaunt and sickly at the press conference today.

usyk wins in the 10th round by ko or cuts stoppage.

Haye's resume at CW was crap.

While he did had more 1 punch KO power than Usyk. That's all but important thing.

    Yes, he was vulnerable.

Usyk is an old looking 34 year old

    ring worn

    bloated 220 pounds

I think he doesn't look good at all...

If he can't buzz or gas out AJ this fight is a gruesome slog for him.

When he unloads everything on him and fails in what you say will happen, he is in trouble as he gasses to easily.

Usyk is no fool, he will have prepared for all eventualities and scenarios, and if AJ does what you say, Usyk could possibly turn it on himself in the Third whilst Josh is still gassed, early night for Usyk.

    Thanks for the payday Anthony

If you're not subtly intimidating AJ to make him nervous you're already losing to be honest.

The friendly disarm won't really help Usyk here.
