He's the same height with a much shorter reach. Other measurements: same biceps, Canelo 1" bigger chest. The idea that Canelo is bigger in a way that matters is pure fantasy. More fantasy. Nobody here has said that boxers can pile up the pounds and be just as effective. That is something you have made up to cover these embarrassing things you have written. What YOU wrote was that Hagler would have "poor speed and stamina" if he gained ten pounds. You wrote that. All I've said is that that is pitiful and stupid. Which is irrefutably true.
To me it's quite fascinating. Nobody cuts 20lbs before physical combat and remains absolutely as effective as they would be without doing so, in a vacuum. That's a truism I think. But if they can cut enough weight that they have a serious size advantage then it's worth it. But the other man in the ring can take advantage of that in different ways - forcing a higher pace, forcing his opponent to take more steps. So it becomes an even more difficult balancing act for everyone involved form the nutritionist to the fighter themselves.
Floyd is as tall as Canelo and has a reach advantage. JMW Hagler heating LHW Tarver is the true fantasy. Hagler could add 10 lbs and still be undersized.
Floyd? Who? What are you talking about? Well, this is a fantasy fight Yes; undersized, slow, with poor stamina You know what, I changed my mind, I am triggered.
I actually agree with that, it was tempting to leave him and let him continue to post, we do actually need a couple of trolls around the place. But they always get phased out and trust me when I say two new ones will be along within about two weeks.
