Sergio Gabriel Martínez vs. Brian Rose 10 Rounds @ Middleweight

 

Round 1 Martínez 10-9

Sergio starts out giving him non stop lateral movement, lunging in landing straight lefts to teh head and body, Rose lands a heavy jab that Sergio walked right into, he seemed unaffected by it. Sergio then goes on the front foot, walking Rose down, who's sliding along the ropes, Sergio lands several heavy lefts, flush to the face of Rose to win first easily.

Round 2 Martínez 10-9, very close

Sergio lands right hook on Rose along the ropes, then goes back to the center, Rose a few seconds later lands flush hard right, which causes Sergio to do a stutter step, he seems rocked, Rose goes for the kill, Sergio holds, Rose throws Sergio to the canvass, Sergio gets back up, seems recovered, then gets super aggressive waing Rose down throwing one twos, he gets Rose along the ropes, lands a fairly blistering combination for an old man, Rose shells up. Sergio backs off. Rose lands another counter right, Sergio takes it much better, then Sergio circles the ring blocking and countering. Close round, Sergio make have just nicked it based on activity.

Sergio getting wild now, throws a combo, mostly misses, gets Rose in a headlock as he tries to pivot away, then Sergio throws a fast combo to teh face of Rose, whose mostly shelling up along the ropes, Now they're both mostly trading jabs in the middle of the ring, Sergio occasionally throwing a left, Sergio lunges in, they clash heads, a cut opens up over the corner of the left eye of Rose, Rose lands one two, Sergio sloppy and missing a lot this round, but still, may have done just enough.

Round 4 Martínez 10-9

Sergio corners Rose, he's feinting, Rose is reacting to all of them, Sergio lands hard jab that rocks Rose back, Sergio now inching forward, closing the gap after Rose pivots away, looks like hobbling but he's okay, he lands a few more jabs, a straight left and another. ROse throws and lands a few right, then Sergo cracks him with a flush left which rocks him a little. Sergio now pressing forward, still showing decent head movement an the reflexes aren't bad for an old guy, he's landing straight lefts to the head and body, Rose looking to counter, but Sergio is mostly slipping or parrying them, a few get through.
