Their qualities are so similar so I would go for the big good one to beat the smaller good one but who knows. I hope they fight someday.
Usyk based on his work rate and how few punches Fury threw against Klitschko and Wilder over 12 rounds. Granted that ‘Kronk’ Fury is more aggressive and has his weight over his feet more but I’m not sure this is how he approaches Usyk.
I think it would be a very tactical fight, and maybe a frustrating watch for the casual fans. I love to watch two tacticians battling it out. Tyson is a gifted fighter, so is Usyk. Going off recent performances, I would have to run with Tyson. His destruction of Wilder showed a more aggressive side to his arsenal, and imo makes him very difficult to beat.
The more I think about this fight, the more I like Usyks chances actually. As @Heisenberg has already said, Usyk has a famously high work rate while Fury has a low one. I think Usyk would need to fight a bit more like Loma to beat Tyson.
Agreed. Tyson, for all his talent, will be meeting a master. Tyson hasn't fought someone that fast, clever and fit ever. Usyk beats him.
Fury looked great against Wilder, really imposed himself physically and stuck it right on him. Unfortunately for Fury I just don’t think he can do that against Usyk. I think Joshua probably wanted to last night but Usyk is just to clever and too good. Granted Fury has a better ring IQ, movement and footwork than AJ but I still think Usyk’s would be better then add the punch output and engine. I think Usyk wins. Great fight though, I hope we see it.
Fury would walk straight through Usyk. Kronk Fury walked down the biggest puncher in boxing history. He'll have no problems with a cruiserweight. 270 lbs of Kronk meat will be too much for Usyk.
Just to add a bit more after seeing these belting replies. Fury is massive, just huge. He would be 4 stone heavier just for starters, ridiculous height and reach but most importantly he's a spoiler who knows how to rough his opponents up. I just don't think he would allow Usyk to do his stuff. He'd tie him up, lean on him, push his head in, low blows and everything else (That would really drain Usyk's unreal gas tank). All things Joshua should have been trying to do last night. In relative terms, I think Usyk is the better boxer and not completely writing him off but I think in Fury he's a fighter who's willing to use his physical advantages.
Not sure but after last night usyks a genuine threat. Fury has a good gas tank...but i think usyk might actually be able to get to it. Their almost masterful in the way they attack off of your attack. Its part of the secret to tiring all these fighters out that he fights. You throw your attack...before you,ve got back to reset...he,s attacking you back. Regardless of how good your gas tank is...he manages to drain you with it. Big ask for usyk...but its potentially furys hardest fight. Although if i was usyk...just one or two more big fights and walk away. Hes proven his point. Will go down as an all time great after last night.
This ^^. I know Usyk won and I even picked him but this really is a case of a good big un against a good little un.
