A-side bias will always play a part before, during, and after the fight. Part of that "after" is the excuses that you hear, and how loudly you hear them. The "during" was pretty bad also. I almost got the impression that hardly anyone on the live commentary had ever seen Usyk fight before. He was always going to come on strong in the last 3 rounds. Being a notoriously slow starter and a notoriously strong finisher is like half of what he's known for. They really should have mentioned that heading into the second half of the fight.
It took wilder months to come up with those excuses, Let's wait and see what kind of things would AJs side say
This is a nice try. This is absolutely taken out of the context. Maybe post the whole interview, and all the stuff he say. Hearn praised Usyk, and say he is one of the best P4P, as well as when saying where Joshua struggle and that he can improve(which is a normal thing to say), he always stated that it/could be because of Usyk skill, and that Usyk makes you mentally tired. He gave all the props for Usyk and even stated that Usyk is the favorite going in to the rematch, and that Joshua need to completely change and improve to have a chance. And i see that interview where he said AJ was up after the 8 round, but i think he expresses himself bad in there, cause on the press conference or was one of the interview from yesterday, he state that he think Usyk won 8-4 or 9-3.
Was expecting Usyk to have control by the end of the fight but was really surprised with how well he started. First 2-3 rounds were comfortably his.
Wrong. Wilder came up with an excuse a day after the fight. But Joshua is already making excuses. "My eye shut, i couldn't see anything " Boo hoo
Usyk outboxed AJ But something tells me there was a issue with his right arm or shoulder, he was holding it funny and not throwing punches properly. Did he sustain another injury in camp. if so hearn has been silly allowing the fight to go through
That's a promoters job, put a spin on it and try to sell it to the casuals with the hope Joshua can win in the rematch when in reality the hardcore fans can see through the BS and know Usyk had his number.
Joshua without the belts is like a car without the wheels, the split would have to be 90/10 in favour of Tyson! In fact I can’t even see Fury fighting Joshua now that he has lost all his belts, as Tyson has nothing to gain but a lot to lose whereas AJ has nothing to lose… It’s game over for AJ and Hearn!
