Probably the most overrated fighter in mma history. As if he was going to look anything but garbage in that fight. Some fans are so deluded. I seriously doubt that Nick Diaz could beat any ufc welterweight these days. Someone like Mike Perry would beat him. Nick "DIVA" Diaz actually said pre fight that he didn't understand why the ufc set up a fight with Lawler, said he should be fighting Usman. C'mon what a clown. He can't seriously believe any of this nonsense both Diva bros always say ? Against Condit,GSP,Silva he did absolutely nothing in those fights and lost every rd then as per usual acted a DIVA saying he won.LOL I'm so sick of the Diva Bros getting undeserved paydays and applause when they continually get embarrassed in the cage. There has always been way way better fighters than them but those fighters don't have the dumb smoke weed, talk like an incoherent imbecile teenage boy mentality that casual idiot fans seem to lap up.
I would say the same to you. Condit controlled that fight and won. It was boring for the fans who were expecting a war but it's not Condit responsibility to just stand and trade infront of Diaz. Diaz needed to overcome Condits movement and impose himself more which he didn't. That's my opinion.
Scoring it a clean sweep for Condit is a laughable joke. Even the most ardent Nick Diaz haters gave him rounds 2 and 5. In round 2 he outlanded Condit in total and significant strikes and landed all the telling head strikes. Round 5 he controlled the pace on the feet, took Condit down, landed good GNP, and nearly finished him with a rear naked choke. The debate generally boils down to who got the 1st round and again most people scored it for Diaz.
Please take off those Diva Diaz blinkers. He did no such thing. The choke wasn't even under the chin and he certainly wasn't remotely close to choking Condit out. The first 3 minutes of rd 5 Condit was outstriking Diaz on the feet and yes Diaz did taking it to the ground and take Condits back towards the end of the round but was not close to finishing him and Condit eventually ended up on top by the rds end. We will have to agree to disagree.
