Now that AJ lost to Usyk, the trilogy needs to happen. It's 1 win each, if Ruiz gets himself in shape he could beat AJ again

Easy nights work for Joshua. He's got his number now.

Depends on if Ruiz is actually gonna be in shape or not.

AJ points. Jab and move. Ruiz isn't slick enough to get past the jab and close the distance.

In all fairness I rate Ruiz but the main reason he took the first fight was because Joshua was being silly trying to throw combinations at close range and getting caught. It was happening in round 1, which I gave to Ruiz.

Then in 3 he incorrectly smelled blood after a flash knockdown, started trading, and got caught with a heavier shot. He was concussed for the rest of the fight.

If Joshua fought a little more carefully he'd probably have taken a comfortable decision even in the first fight: Ruiz is simply too short and immobile to do much but counter, and only when Joshua is foolish enough to leave himself open.

I struggle to favour Ruiz in a rematch.

Not convinced by Ruiz’s last outing against a washed up, 2 year layoff Arreola

Joshua probably just stays behind his jab again

Not a very interesting fight anyway, I’d rather see either of them fight Whyte (just so I can see Whyte get sparked again :D)

Yeah, wow, this went from not even remotely on anybody's radar or list of interests while Joshua was still champ to now, eh, why not?
