sorry for my latest threads, stupidity i know but a real thread now, how do you guys see Gassiev's chances at HW, Gassiev is still only 27 years old, and his only loss was to the Ukranian Wonderboy and current forum favorite how well do you think he can do?
Top 5 as @heerko koois said. He can beat anyone not named Usyk and Fury. He has a granite chin 2nd hardest puncher after Wilder Decent skills and most important has heart and grit. Him vs Whyte is my dream matchup.
despite Usyk dominating him at cruiser i remember there being some people that thought Gassiev would translate better to HW than Usyk
I keep thinking it's Briedis who is 27. Gassiev must have had a hard paper round. I look forward to seeing what he can do.
The only thing I would say, is whilst it seems he has used his time away to put on the weight (I'm guessing in a somewhat controlled manner), he did seem to be carrying some excess timber in his last fight coming in at 235lb Also that was a bit of a dodgy stoppage in his last fight. Here are the last 30 seconds of that fight. This content is protected
finally you make a good post. Yes Gassiev is dangerous for every HW in the top 10. Would love to see Gassiev vs. Whyte, or Michael Hunter
He is not known by the casual fan. He is a very high risk low reward fight for the top rated HW,s so he could be avoided and not given his chance. He might be mentally scarred from the Usyk fight but if he is right he is a serious dark horse in the division
Let's see how he reacts to the big weight change in his opponents. I bet a guy like Chisora would give him a few things to think about. Hard to carry power up to a no weight limit division
