Holmes is greater but it's the fact that Holmes is somewhat known to struggle with southpaws. However Holmes has a longer reach and a better jab. And he's much more fluid. You have to favor holmes but because Holmes didn't have a good history with lefties it would probably be competitive

Nothing could please me more than to see the Jethro king get smacked out.

No offense to fans of Mr. Bodean.

I would've criticised the whole post but I didn't have enough time.

His average weight during his prime (1978-1983) was 214 lbs. Usyk's average weight as a HW is 218 lbs. What makes you think Holmes carried more muscle mass? And where was he hiding this muscle mass?

Only part I'd agree with. Holmes was faster but Usyk isn't too far behind.

This is a bunch of horse****. Usyk stopped Witherspoon and he was able to hurt Chisora and AJ. Holmes on the other hand went 12 rounds against Shavers in their first fight and 15 rounds against Norton. If you made a list of the greatest glass chins in heavyweight history, both Shavers and Norton would be on that list. Holmes had trouble putting away most of the bums he fought. Usyk never went the distance against a glass chinned bum like Lucien Rodriguez. That was Holmes. Do you think Usyk would've gone 10 rounds against the version of Ali that Holmes fought?

That's still better than anything Holmes did in his entire career.

Not sure what your point is. Based on what I have seen, Usyk lacks power.

I dont think he ever had it,ticket sales were abysmal and Fury was in no kind of shape. Many seats are still unsold and will remain so imo.Wilder can't draw on his home turf.

It's a fact. Current version of AJ would've ran through Ken Norton. That's Holmes' best win and it could've gone either way.

I was comparing Usyk's power to Holmes. I don't think Holmes hit harder than Usyk. Based on what you've seen, would you say Holmes lacked power?

Both were not big punchers at heavyweight. I would probably rate Holmes power above Usyk's

He certainly has not demonstrated Holmes ability to put away quality Heavies, or even other cruisers.

Yeah...a 34 year old Usyk is being alleged to be faster and stronger than a prime Holmes, and a win over Joshua has just been said to be better than anything Holmes ever did....

    Just typical fair weather hyperbole.

The difference is that prime Holmes STOPS the Bodybuilder , no ifs or buts,

Plus Holmes also means 15 rounds............no matter what excellent shape you are in, there is a tremendous difference between 12 and 15, fact.,.................that also means Usyk aint coming in @220, 211/212 most likely.

Usyk ain t winning a chess match battle with right jabs/straight lefts against Larry's legendary jab/right hand......the Eastern Assassin wins.
