Tough, resilient, good ring IQ, who did enough to win. Genuinely eccentirc, that was no act. Could fight in the trenches the few times when he needed to. Appeared, to me, to not love the game and seen it as a way to simply make money. A top 10 super middle? yeah i think an argument could be made for that

I think the Watson tragedy had a lot to do with him not pressing things from there on in....

there was that infamous toney, benn, eubank three way via satellite where toney started trash talking and eubank seemed genuinely flustered when i think toney start cussing his mum. benn just smirked at toney like he'd rip his ****ing head off if they were in the same room.

I’d take Benn in the street. Toney in the ring.

Just how much money did Eubank have at his peak. I’ve never seen a figure thrown around but he was known as a big spender and I’ve read he’d wash his hands with only the most expensive bottled water lol.

He was a good fighter but he's become severely overrated since his heyday.

Let's be clear now, the "WBO super middleweight" title was not regarded as a real world title.
Some of his challengers were so obscure it was laughable.

Eubank was a big star in the UK in the 1990s. Probably received too little coverage elsewhere, but that seems to have swung the other way now.

He beat very few fighters you could even begin to argue were world class fighters. Very few. He wasn't elite world class. I remember him getting some very dubious decisions against very forgettable opponents.

I respect Chris for his body of work despite his management style. Against Carl Thompson he showed his bowling balls and swallowed his blood and smiled every time he had his head spun around like Emily Rose he was a vicious son of a b1tch in a dog fight and always looked for that last shot.

Petrifying how tough he was to be fair.

Even on I’m a Celeb when the creepy crawlies showered on him he genuinely wasn’t bothered in the slightest, or eating them. No acting there.

A creep (in a complimentary way).

Landed some devastating shots, had good hand speed, great chin, but very bad fundamentals.
