He was good but the roided version after the klitschko fight to the duhaupas fight was a beast, hed beat all the heavyweights today.

I'd say he's in the prime Ray Mercer - Ibeabuchi - Tua range

A very good fighter indeed. A prime Povetkin would be a problem in any era

Best non-Klitschko of the Klitschko era.

In his natural prime, Marco Huck arguably beat Povetkin for the WBA "Regular" belt (the one Trevor Bryan has now).

In his PED-enhanced extended prime, Povetkin looked very good against Carlos Takam for a WBC "Silver" belt (the one Joyce has now).

The PED-enhanced extended prime was probably the best version of Povetkin.

Still, with all the belts floating around over his 16-year career, Povetkin never actually managed to win anything more than a "regular" or "silver" belt.

Trevor Bryan to Joe Joyce ... however good that range is ... that's about where and what he was.

Povetkin wouldn't have gotten off the floor against Wilder (like he did against Whyte) to land it.

He was exactly as good as whatever he was injecting into his body at each given point.

It might have KO'd a zebra but like a zebra I don't think he would have had occasion to land it against those two or AJ or Usyk.

Povetkin vs Andy Ruiz a few years ago would have been interesting. They're both a little short, have shown flashes of greatness amid a lot of mixed success, an interesting style matchup too.

A true fighter. Olympic Gold medalist. Best non Klitschko of the Klitschko era is a good assessment. I shudder to think what he would of done to Wilder back in 2015.
Excellent resume. Long career. No bad losses. Shame he took that last fight post covid looked like a zombie in the ring. Definition of shot.
