I made Duran version of this and now here is Leonard version. 1-At 154 2-At 160 3-At 168 Who wins at these weights?
First we need to clarify if this fight happening with roids or without? Secondly is Adalaide Byrd one of the judges? Thirdly is the weigh-ins ? Like the in the 80s, same day? or day before like now ?
So to brake it down CLEN + BYRD + DAY gap weight ins = Canelo 154lb = W 160lb = KO 168lb = KO No CLEN + no Byrd + same day weight ins Canelo 154lb = Loss KO 160lb = Loss by wide decision 168lb = Loss by split decision.
Leonard was so good and so quick in his best days. One of the best combination punchers ive ever seen in boxing. At 154, Leonard would be too quick on the backfoot and in the inside. At 160 the same, but Canelo would be tougher. At 168 leonard as well. Leonard carried his beat assets up to the higher weight classes even as the smaller man, he was still better than most. Though i did think Hearns won the rematch, against Canelo i think hes got him slightly beat in all areas. Canelos best chance would be at 168 imo
Anyone picking Canelo at 154 or 160 needs to watch some SRL fights. Not sure why 168 is an option since SRL didn't fight there
Yes, he beat faded Hagler but Canelo almost had zero weak sides at 160. Footwork, speed, both back foot and front foot style, punch variety, chin, ring IQ, power etc.. We saw his best footwork at 160. Canelo was chameleon at middleweight.
Leonard never made 168 legally, he said he had silver dollars stuffed down his pants at the weigh-in for his fights at 168 and his fight v Lalonde.
Leonard would out-box Canelo in the early rounds like Lara did, but Canelo would set traps and eventually take over the fight, Ray would stand more of a chance at 154 because the lighter he was the faster he was, he wouldn`t stand any chance at 168 and I pick Canelo at 160 too.
Camelot set traps for Leonard? I would want Canelo to win but I think we all know Leonard kicks his ass.
