I put together a list of the most "recent" boxing films I could think of. Which were your favorites? Why? In general I think there aren't enough boxing films out there. Too many ATGs with great stories. Who should they make a boxing film about? I personally think Chavez Sr and Pacquiao have great and compelling stories to tell. ODLH stories could bring in a US audience. Thoughts? Rocky (1976) Rocky II (1979) The Champ (1979) Raging Bull (1980) Dempsey (1983) Muhammad Ali: The Whole Story (1996) The Hurricane (1999) Cinderella Man (2005) Against the Ropes (2004) Million Dollar Baby (2004) Thrilla in Manila (2008) The Fighter (2010) Creed (2016) Bleed for This (2016) Hands of Stone (2016) Creed II (2016)
Rocky IV was my personal favorite. Loved when he fought the Russian on his home turf and beat the steroids outta him!
Watched Somebody up there likes me the other day. The fight at the end with Tony Zale (the actor playing Zale looked exactly like him) was very realistic. The Set Up with Robert Ryan is #1 for me, and Champion with Kirk Douglas #2, then Raging Bull.
The Hurricane is all BS. Rubin Carter did it. Rubin "Hurricane" Carter: The Other Side of the Story (graphicwitness.com)
Wow! 40 minutes of unreleased footage? Ill definitely go see this when it comes out! This content is protected
Bro it’s blasphemous that you made this list and didn’t include Undisputed with Westly Snipes and Ving Raghems
