Anthony Joshua vs Ray Mercer

Joshua. Contrary to recent belief, he is still above the level of guys like Mercer.

 

Depends on which Mercer shows up. Disinterested Ray plods around and gets outpointed . Mean Ray takes AJ s head off in about 7 rnds .

 

I favor AJ to out box Mercer. AJ couldn't miss and would land punches at will.

 

It takes more than a granite chin to beat Joshua. Joshua UD

 

At this point I would have to go with Mercer. As long as Mercer showed up motivated and In shape.

Mercer was a bad dude with power and an iron chin but inconsistent. Joshua could win by decision but I wouldn't rule out Mercer by devastating KO.

I favour Joshua around 60/40 , but Mercer has the chin to make this a toughie,imo.

 

Most likely Joshua. Mercer was a very tough guy but his power is overrated and he lacked in certain fundamentals

 

Mercer did have a jab on occasion, but Joshua's boxing skill is a clean advantage. On the other hand Mercer's chin compared to Joshua's is also a clear advantage. Joshua appears to be the favorite and maybe so but I'd bet on Mercer

 

Ray mercer …. That ram rod jab would really offset aj .. Mercer stops aj in 9
