Will this be the first time Fury truly HATES who he's about to fight?

He came aggressive and hurt Wilder early he couldnt recover, and looked terribly different than the first fight. Wilder has had alot of time to regroup and is in the best shape of his career, and looks focused. Fury looks all over the place, like he doesnt want to be there. If Fury comes out trying to KO Wilder early this time out, i expect Wilder to catch him with something big.

Fair enough, friend. Goes without saying that my assessment of their respective states differs, but I respect your take.

Could also be that we have different notions about what coming aggressive means in this case. There's mindless aggression, then there's mindful, focused aggression.

Fury has been stating that he's going to roll over Wilder in this third fight for months on end. They haven't baited him into an aggressive policy, assuming it's one he elects to use. He adopted that policy after rising in the 12th round of the 2018 bout and carried it into the first rematch. I don't believe the combined mental resources of Deontay and Malik would be sufficient to gain that kind of psychological upper hand on Tyson, to effectively dictate his gameplan to him, even if he hadn't already been stating the intent to plough through Wilder in fight III for the longest. It's too basic a ruse, for a start.

As I see it, all Wilder's talk has succeeded in doing is loading rounds into a clip and putting himself in the scope of a high-precision carbine. I tend to think he'd have been better advised to try to kill Fury with magnanimity.

But ay. All questions will be answered in around seventy-two hours.

I know this isn't what anyone wants to hear, but I predict a very boring lopsided decision for Fury

Wilder knows he can't win, his main goal is going to be trying to avoid getting knocked out so he can collect a final big paycheck

I don't think he hates Wilder, he's just pissed off with his antics. There's bad blood between the 2 for the first time in 3 fights, but I don't think there's hatred (atleast on Fury's part). Anyway, it'll will be interesting to see If Wilder can pull it off. The third time might be the charm.

Eh... we will see whose right but I've always said (well... pre second fight) that I think Fury could stop Wilder if he comes forward. And it played out exactly like I feared it would.

The fight will resemble the second if Fury comes forward. Wilders only chance is that Furys size and age will make him a tick slower and in that tick, Wilder can land something he couldn't in the first.

Otherwise, the fight mechanics play out as the second, which were going to be that way with or without Wilder getting hurt early.

Wilder can't fight pressure effectively from someone as good as Fury. And it will show again.

Not to mention he can't fight close quarters, and tends to rely on patience, timing and full extensions to land his most effective shots.

Giving him no room, no time, and staying inside his fire range has always been the best way to fight him.

The worst thing Fury can do is try and box with Wilder and let him have the time and chances to find his target.

That being said, he likely wins no matter what strategy he chooses... he's just that much better.

I will say though... he is looking older, and heavier. We know how poorly an out of shape Fury can perform. If he really is a second behind in this fight because hes a bit slower... things may get interesting.

He's trying to audition himself. If Wilder wins, Scott makes history. If Wilder loses, Scott fades out.

I think Fury has the mindset that hes beaten Wilder twice and that he shouldnt have to fight him again. He was forced into this fight, and i think he might not be taking Wilder that serious and may go for broke early in the fight, given how dominate he was in the rematch. Wilder has put on more mass for this fight and will be stronger and probably absorb Fury's punches better too, while not letting Fury push him around the ring. If Fury pushes the pace early, i feel like Wilder will clip him with something big. We'll see.

    :risas3:

Wilder has put on more mass for this fight? People say this sort of stuff all the time before bouts, and it is normally completely wrong.

Wilder came in at a career heaviest in the last bout, and was something like 20+ pounds heavier than their first bout. There's no way that Wilder has "put on more mass".

Malik Scott couldn't even devise a gameplan to beat Derek Chisora.. and Wilder spent most of that presser shoe gazing .. hardly the stuff of legend are they.. delusional

that would be a shame but definately possible, really don't like making predictions especially in a heavyweight fight like this but i think i always get nervous when its a fighter i really like vs someone i cant stand.

So im oddly picking wilder i think it's my brains way of coping, if fury wins im happy if wilder wins i will be pissed but at least i can say "oh i said wilder would win " lmao

Also every time fury fights wilder the feeling is always the same nervousness, can the cannon land? And i think everyone including myself stops being logical and starts thinking someone like wilder can win but logic dictates the better boxer usually wins.
