Having a rematch clause in Whyte's favour makes sense. If there wasn't one, reMatchroom would have to pay a premium to secure a second fight for their guy in the event he was to lose. By including a rematch clause in the original fight contract, the purse for the other guy for the second fight is capped in advance. You can't have Wallin demanding twice as much for the rematch if he happens to win. He'll get what he's agreed to take should that occur.
