First fight: Wilder = 212.5 lbs Fury = 256.5 lbs Second fight: Wilder = 231 lbs Fury = 273 lbs Some people are saying they expect them both to be heavier than the second fight, but I'm not so sure. I see Wilder being around 228 lbs and Fury between 270-280 lbs.
I think Fury comes in at 270-275 or so, no real change from the rematch. The 300lb talk is just nonsense to further wind up Wilder. Wilder may come in a few pounds lighter.
Fury: 275 Wilder: 240 Fury looked about his optimal weight against Wilder last time, I wouldn't want to see him too much heavier. Wilder looked like he was struggling with Fury's weight and I would expect him to come in a little heavier than last time to try and offset that. I dont think he should, he needs to be light and fast but I think thats what he will do
If Wilder wants a shot at winning he'll come in at around 210. Wilder walks around at about 200 and is just not used to the extra weight that comes with being 220+. You could see that in the second fight when he tired quickly due to a combination of punishment and the extra weight draining his energy that much quicker
I'd like to see Wilder at 220. I think 212 was too light, but 230 definitely was too heavy. His ticket to victory against Fury is speed, not strength. He's never going to be able to wrestle with the guy.
Check out Fury from the second fight, he looked different than he has before or since. I will say 265 for Fury, Wilder looks about the same as last time. Nevermind, 275 then.
