Blaming it on her period gives her the perfect excuse to label any criticism of her of sexism, misogyny and the attitude society has towards women. If it's not mental health then it's stuff like this, we all know the script these days. I wouldn't put it past her throwing the murder of Sarah Everard in there for good measure.
Rachel Ball called it on Twitter, as per the tweets a page or so back, an hour before the Tweet from SC. So predictable the excuse.
After the fight she will brand herself as an ambassador for menstruation awareness in sport. She’ll fight her next bout with blood stains on her shorts to raise awareness.
A group of guys ‘mansplaining’ about it on a boxing forum will be exactly the sort of thing she’d try to use to suggest we’re not informed… but I’m convinced she’s lying. It’s a very convenient excuse. Couldn’t happen to a nicer person.
I said in my original message if that’s the case then I can’t argue, but having seen Rachel Ball call it an hour before and seen a few women on twitter post that it’s BS… I’d say the original thinking that it was too circumstantial was right haha
Bridges and Ball are both sincere so I'm inclined to believe both of them over the obviously dishonest Courtenay. Hopefully this spells the end of her being Hearn's chosen golden goose. Bridges is far more marketable and comes across as pretty likeable.
