I think Fury is regressing.

I highly doubt he fights like that against AJ or Usyk.

But he ain’t getting a decision against Wilder away from home.

If anyone can find the scorecards from that fight then I would be interested. I would not be surprised to see Wilder level or ahead on at least one judges card.

When you need a KO to win you fight differently

I thought Fury was more impressive and controlled in the second fight.

He left himself open too many times and took unnecessary risks against a puncher like Wilder.

But he was clearly the better man and I had him 96-90 ahead going into the 11th round.

Fury was up by 2 rounds on all cards going into the 11th.

Wilder could have won with a good 11th and a knockdown in the 12th.

He took risks to get Wilder out of there and almost came unstuck but that is Fury. A more cautious champion like Lewis or Wlad would have stuck with the jab and set up the right. Sugar Hill was trying to tell him that btw

Fury needs motivation to perform. What motivation did he have to fight a man he had already beaten twice?

The biggest motivation was arguably that if he won, he'd probably never have to fight Wilder again.

I wouldn't say regress but he sure isn't putting in the gym work.

'I didn't have my best performance'

Tyson Fury, speaking to BT Sport: "I have proved time and again that I can never be written off.

"I didn't have my best performance but I pulled it out of the bag when it needed to be done.

"He did keep getting up but it was that final right hand to the side of the head that finished him.

"I wasn't hurt. You get hit, you wake up on the floor. I got up and was very conscious the whole time. I was one punch away from knocking him out in the whole fight.

"I went over and said well done and he said he didn't want to show any sportsmanship or respect. Very surprised by that. He’s an idiot.

"I pray for him. I am thankful that we all get out of the fight in one piece and get to go to our families."

He'd have had that if he lost too because there's no way Wilder would have ever given him a fourth fight
No it wasn't. The best version of Wilder was the one from the first fight. This one gassed easier than the one from the second fight and only seems to have learned to go to the body, which he should have learned from the first fight. The only reason he didn't get owned as badly as the second time was because Fury wasn't at his best

    This.

Fury took a look at him in the 1st, then went to work in the 2nd.

I don't buy it. he'll be as sharp as ever when it comes time to face Usyk or AJ.

I think it's hard to find the same degree of ambition and drive to defeat an opponent you just destroyed for an unnecessary third rematch. I'm putting it down more to the unique circumstances he's gone through than anything else.

I don't think Fury even trained for the fight. I'd say he was probably about 50% tonight, 40% for the first fight, and 60% for the second one. He was very sloppy and he very nearly came unstuck but a 61% fully trained and motivated Fury would beat him 1000 times out of 1000 in biblical fashion. The problem with bum dosser fans is they DKSAB
