He is no doubt great if you divide the eras by rule set you can even consider him the best of his version of boxing.

 

Winning the WBA title in his 12th fight by beating Dwight Muhammad Qawi over 15 rounds in one of the fights of the year and then making 5 successful defences including 2 unification fights and all by stoppages to become the first ever undisputed Cruiserweight champion. With a record of 18-0, he cleared out the Cruiserweight division at the age of 25 and was thought to be so good that many thought that he would the man that would eventually be the biggest challenge to undisputed heavyweight champ Mike Tyson.

Good picks for the most part. Probably 115 and 108 the ones that appear most off.

 

Very orthodox and safe for The Ring. Remember they need to sell magazines to the casual fan as well as us, hence some picks.


As mentioned no Greb seems very strange at 175.


The other one that struck me was Deleon's rating as a top five Cruiser.


A few years back it made sense, the division was very shallow in quality, but over the last fifteen years or so that has changed. And if an argument can be made that Carlos is there as a pioneer, fair enough, but then Park should be in the Super Middleweight rankings in that case...

 

A very knowledgeable list and far from Nat Fleishers top five from years ago (he'd be rolling if he saw it). I was a little surprised to see Robinson number 1 at middle and Olivares over Zarate but those are arguable. I was glad to see Jose Napoles make the top 5 welters and Salvador Sanchez #2 at feather. The heavy top 5 is excellent as is the light heavy list I thought as well as all the divisions.

 

Grebs listed in the middles not LH's.

 

Did Greb ever weight above the middleweight division, I honestly don't know? He fought lightheavy's but was he ever one?
