It’s certainly possible but not likely. I also don’t think Fury is the unbeatable juggernaut he is being made out to be.
Bulking up would kill AJ's stamina. He would be spent by mid fight. Fury would move, box hold and hang on AJ. And forget it if AJ gets tagged with a big shot early. He'll be gun shy all night. I give AJ very little chance of winning. Less than Wilder.
Wilder v Joshua would still be a great fight to see and I still say Wilder brutally KOs him in first three rounds . Joshua has the rematch with Usyk so we need to see how that plays out first .
The oldest cliche is styles make fights…. On their day Fury is easily the best in the division currently. However I am certain the amount of times he has been tagged by that same super telegraphed overhand right from Wilder leads me to firmly believe a big mobile heavyweight with decent boxing ability can beat Fury on a going day. The current climate and rejoiced voices following the trilogy against a very limited boxer is seemingly blinded to this. The technical term is Recency Bias.
It's a silly comparison. Fury has spoken publicly about his battle with bi-polar but that has never once impacted the build up to any of his fights bar perhaps the Klitschko rematch. In terms of boxing mental resilience, it's absolutely clear he has plenty. Joshua clearly doesn't. Just because Fury has spoken about his personal, unrelated to sport, mental health issues doesn't indicate he as poor mental strength or can be beaten in "mind games". Can you serious imagine Joshua, with the natural charisma of a carrot, being able to beat Tyson Fury in mind games?!
In the context of the sport of boxing. AJ is mentally weaker, he's crumbled in the ring twice and looks scared to engage. Whereas Fury has overcome lots of adversity and remains unbeaten. He may have issues outside of the ring but when it comes to boxing both in the build up and the fight, he's never been found wanting. AJ has.
