The man has fantastic 12 round stamina. In fact he qualifies for 15 round stamina. He has never slowed down in any fight. Think about it for a moment. His stamina rates up there with the old timers right? He's also never been floored as a pro. He's also got a grade A type of chin, tested in the amateurs and pros. He hasn't been floored in years. Not even sure if it happened. Combined with excellent mobility for a heavyweight and fine skills he'll be tough to beat in his prime. Some say he's small. Not at 6'3" tall and 220 lbs. And a southpaw.
See what? Briedis, Gassiev, Glowacki, Joshua, Hunter.... they aren't enough?? They were all undefeated Champions (Hunter wasn't) with the exception of Joshua who lost once and avenged it with ease
Usyk is a boxing prodigy. Hes the best cruiser ever together with Holy. Hes already at Wlad level in the HWs with less than one third of fights in his resume imo (best 15-20 ever). If he beats Joshua again and Fury twice he is in the best 10 HWs ever without robbing anything from anyone of the greatest of the past. Then he can retire.
See more? He's already beaten Joshua, Joyce, Chisora and cleaned out one of the most stacked Cruiserweight divisions of all time. Who at HW would make you sit up and say, wow, actually that guy's not half bad? Fury? At that point he's basically numero uno.
His qualifications are literally impeccable but still there are those who refuse to hire him for the job ''He's done it the hard way'' -- Andre ''Son of God'' Ward on Kovalev winning on the road Well, everything Usyk has achieved, amateur and pro, has been done the hard way on the road Olympic gold medalist World Amateur Championships gold & bronze European gold & bronze medalist Won all those gold medals on the road He was robbed in the 2008 Olympics against the eventual semi-finalist that year WBC cruiserweight champion WBA cruiserweight champion IBF cruiserweight champion WBO cruiserweight champion WBA heavyweight champion IBF heavyweight champion WBO heavyweight champion Hasn't lost a fight in a decade and even the guy who supposedly inflicted that last loss on him said he never beat Usyk and that he didn't fight him in that tournament so that would make Usyk not having lost in 13 years (all of which sans his first 9 fights as a pro) at the highest level Unified the CW division in just 15 fights Is a belt away from unifying two divisions in 19 fights winning all his world titles and unifying them all in his opponent's backyards Ring Magazine champion at CW Ranked #2 P4P by The Ring Magazine Winner of the Muhammad Ali trophy Beat WBA, IBF and WBO champ AJ (24-1) in England WBA and IBF champ Gassiev (26-0) in Russia Beat WBC champ Briedis (23-0) in Latvia Beat WBO champ Glowacki (26-0) in Poland Beat former long reigning WBO champ Huck (40-4-1) in Germany Beat former WBC champ Bellew (30-2-1) in England Beat Michael Hunter (12-0) in the US Beat Mchunu (17-2) on neutral soil Beat Chisora (32-9) in England He's fought a ton of serious bangers amateur and pro and not only never been dropped by a head shot but he's never been noticeably hurt Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year (2018) ESPN Fighter of the Year (2018) Sports Illustrated Fighter of the Year (2018) CBS Fighter of the Year (2018) Boxing Writers Association of America Fighter of the Year (2018) Boxing News Fighter of the Year (2018) Very athletic, highly skilled, beautiful boxer, fast hands and feet, high ring IQ, superb footwork, punch variety, extremely smooth and fluid in his movement for a big man and just a supremely talented boxer with beautiful skills. He's also very humble and has an immensely likeable personality, is an absolute gent and a scholar both in and out of the ring, bags of charisma, and he is an utterly fearless road warrior who relies on clean boxing to win fights and zero deck-stacking and zero dice loading and on top of all that he's as funny as hell. No catchweights, judges in his pocket, rehydration clauses, PEDs. No stacked deck at all. Actually he does fight on a stacked deck - one which is stacked against him and he does it religiously. He should be P4P #1 This content is protected
OP is insecure because this is a Fury weekend. But, while we're here, Oleksandr Usyk will hit Fury. Absolutely he will, because it's a boxing match. He may even hit him really hard. And Fury will just absorb it and get stronger (insert Tyson Fury Glowing Eyes meme). I'll be here when the King of the Heavyweight Jungle unifies his WBC with the other three he loaned out to the hopeful from Watford. Hope you will be, too.
He lost by 3 points (20-23) and it was over in the US. Usyk is nine months older than Shawn Porter and didn't take up the sport until he was 15 y/o. Porter took up boxing at the age of 4, started competing when he was 8, and he had over 100 amateur fights by the time he was 14 and probably had about 150 more by the time he fought Usyk five years later considering how he turned pro 22 months after facing him and his overall amateur record is 276–14. They fought in 2006 four years after Usyk first walked into a boxing gym 2002. This is the date of the earliest recorded amateur bout of Usyk's 2005-07-03 and he fought Porter in 2006-12-02. I won't charge you a penny for performing this baptism on you
