I thought the time keeper starts the count right when a fighter is downed. The ref ensures the standing fighter goes to the neutral corner. Once the standing fighter is in the neutral corner, the ref goes to the fallen fighter, picks up the count from the time keeper. Am I wrong?

The ref messed up IMO but Fury would have beaten the count anyway.

When you look at how controversial a slow count is in a big fight especially, its up to the fighter scoring the knockdown to stay in his corner, that way there is no disruption in the count. The ref messed up, but Wilder not staying in his corner was just as bad. It is what it is. I respect Fury and he won fair and square, but i still dont like the guy. Or his bummy fans.

You're the idiot. Fury could have gotten up sooner if he wanted to.

I'm sure the ref did that. The ref also stops the count when the fighter is not in the neutral corner. That's on the commission if you are implying that they didn't follow the rules.

My response was a correction to someone else's post. He said the ref starts count when he wants.

The count starts when the fighter who drops the opponent Is in the neutral corner. Wilder had gone for a moment in the wrong corner.

So far you have cried and filled up 10 five-gallon drums with them salty tears. Are your tear ducts dry yet? Has the fact that Wilder got his ass knocked out sunk in yet? Never seen a grown man cry so much but continue with your crying. I don't think your crying has changed the results but you can keep crying and see if it will.

I went back and looked at both knockdowns of WIlder by Fury in the last fight and both had slow counts. They weren't as slow but the difference was that Fury immediately goes to the neutral corner and the count is never interrupted.

In fact I've looked at a lot of knockdowns since this ordeal became a thing after the second fight and almost always the count is slow.

We've been here so many times before, the boxer goes off the referees count.

The whole purpose of the count is to determine whether a fighter can continue. Given that Fury won the fight, he must have been okay to continue otherwise he'd have lost.

At the end of the day, it's not really about counting to 10. It's about determining whether a fighter is okay to continue or not. And everybody knows Fury was perfectly fine, just a tad shaken.

LDBC just can't accept their man took a beating. When Jermell 'The Clown' Charlo is the voice of reason, you know you're fighting a lost cause.

Very much doubt even the Youtuber is serious. He's just after views!

There probably are people out there dumb enough to take it seriously though .
