He turns 36 in a couple of weeks time. I think he's already in line for a title by next summer. Usyk and AJ will probably fight in April and the winner will be ready for another fight in July, August or September.
They might go for the big unification with Fury instead, but Wilder could well be mandatory for one of the belts by then.
I will not be surprised at all if Wilder gets a title fight in 2022. It all depends on his mental state really, and whether the men who handle him pull the right strings for him.

Personally, I'd like to see him against Ruiz.

Fury has a belt (he clearly can't beat him).

Usyk (who is quite frankly the most elite boxer at HW) has 3 belts

Joshua doesn't have a belt and isn't gonna get one back as long as Fury and Usyk hold them. Also, Wilder is not young. So no, he most assuredly cannot become champion again. He could probably beat some top 10 guys, but champ? Nah.

Power is usually the last thing to go.

It's conceivable that he could win back the title provided it changes hands to a fighter he matches up better against.

I highly doubt it, he is shot and the beating he took is going to really affect him physically and mentally. He could beat a couple nobody’s but IMO he is gonna pack it in and rightfully so.

He's never been champ. He fought for the championship twice and lost both by stoppage.
He was however a heavyweight beltholder though, a very protected one, with the worst mandatories known to man.
He might win another secondary belt somewhere... WBA has quite a number out there.

He needs to see what physical damage he took from this fight first before thinking about a come back at age 36

The path to a title is quite simple. Get old and shot. Surely someone holding a strap will call on you to fight. Then hope and pray your shot old ass catches lightning in a bottle.

He can be a champion, if he gets a title shot. I would not favor him against Usyk though.

Could definitely see him picking up a strap against Helenius, for example.

But he's never been "the man" in the division so far as I am concerned, and he certainly never will be.

    2- Michael Hunter
    3- Usyk

His soul now resides in a urn on the mantlepiece in Tyson Fury's deluxe 5 berth caravan.

Just lost to an ATG who he put down twice and nearly stopped previously.

Beats the rest of the division, with the possible exception of BRUTHA USKY.

Fury is WBC holder and there will be not fight IV.

USyK holds the other belts. He will face Joshua or Fury more than one time.

Wilder Is out of the way at least until 2025 when he will be 40 yo and punch drunk.
