X2 and Aj is tentative since his stoppage. When he tries to revert to old Aj, he gets caught and goes back into his shell

He might improve some boxing skill and defence, but Aj 3 or 4 years ago was the beat version, as he played to his strengths and was not nearly as gun shy

I doubt he beats either guy now, especially Fury

More chance of Eddie writing a contract without a rematch clause.

Yes, that will make him the best of this era, bar any more losses. Wilder is too late to mean much at this stage. He would be at least 38 where their roads could cross at the earliest in this scenario and mauled twice by Fury already, so even if Joshua wiped the floor with him it will just be seen as beating up on a past it version.

Joyce has not put himself in the position where he's a must win, by any means. A second win over Ruiz would mean more where we are right now, but this of course would be at least two years down the line, so who knows by then. Joyce will be old, though.

If Joshua beats Usyk and Fury and the cleans up what's left (Ruiz, Joyce, Whyte, Hunter - or however it looks some years from now) he might have a case for passing Wilder in the all time rankings. Maybe even Lewis. A huge if, of course.

He has a real chance is what I would say but he does not have to dominate for another 8 years but I can see him fighting for another 5 years.

I think he is already ahead of Wilder in the all time rankings.

Eddie putting in rematch clauses is a smart move.

That doesn't say terribly much, though. Even though he was WBC champ for quite some time, Wilder's resume is pretty dire.

His resume is currently better than AJ's when he got a shot for the IBF

So not true in todays landscape

Not an AJ hater but he isn't beating neither

He is very shook and needs rehabbing in the same way Lewis did after Mccall knocked him out

He wont allow it though which is a shame

He probably puts in a rematch clause when he plays charades with the family at Christmas.

Well if he completely turns his current trajectory around and did what you say in OP then yeah he’d be on his way to doing it but he’d have to win rematches against fury and wilder etc.

He just doesn’t have the skill or boxing nous for me to achieve what you’re suggesting though.m

tbh he’s unlikely to get anywhere near fury, he’d have a chance against wilder but only if he ditches his current training team and becomes aggressive again but wilder would be big favourite in my eyes if the fight took place in next couple years.
But i cant see him beating usyk, he needs to go for broke and not try and outbox him!

The reason I say 5 to 8 years, is because almost half of the guys on the ATG list you wrote, dominated for a long time. Klitschko, Holmes, louis etc. The others beat very good opponents.
