If Whytes gets past Wallin we may get this. Now I'm not a huge fan of Whyte but doesn't anybody else think his short left hook is a nightmare for Furys new wrecking ball style? Fury has pretty much every other advantage but i cant help thinking he will get caught alot if he bulldozers in like he has against Wilder.
I’m content to see this fight tbh. The build up will be comical and whilst I can’t see Whyte causing Fury any problems I think it would be entertaining.
If Fury is switched on I don't see Whyte cauysing him any issues, but the build up will be worth it. Whyte annoys me, the bloke has a chip on his shoulder and he deserves a slap down.
I fully expect Whyte to be in exactly the same position at the end of the OAP Pedvetkin fight in Eh Day's garden.
This is a good fight for Fury whilst waiting for winner of Usyk Joshua II. Fury will jab Whyte's head off, he has such slow feet and poor defensive technique. The only interesting thing is the build-up, the fact it will sell out Wembley, and that Whyte's only chance is hurting Fury to the body early on in the fight. He threw several terrific body shots against Povetkin.
As a warm-up for an undisputed fight, I'd enjoy it. Hope it's in the UK. Whyte would be dangerous, but the only way Fury loses is if he goes off the rails.
Can't stand Whyte so I'm in two minds about seeing it. I'd relish in the absolute hiding Fury would effortlessly dish out to him, but would have a bad taste at the thought of Whyte getting a career high pay day. All his BS about Wilder avoiding him while making millions scuffling around with the likes of Chisora, Parker and a 40 year-old version of Povetkin courtesy of the Sky Sports hype machine became unbearable years ago. Dirty Dyllian would have been out of there by the 6th against both Fury and Wilder last Saturday night.
Whyte's face ends up looking the same as Chisora's did at the end of the second fight with Fury.... Elephant man style. Whyte is as basic plodder as anyone at this point in time, he is so basic and every fight he is in seems to be a life and death, someone as big and skillful as Fury absolutely batters him. I'm also expecting him to have to trigger a rematch for his 'interim belt' as Wallin absolutely schools him.
I disagree with the oap I actually think even though whyte struggles with boxers and movers fury’s old style might of been actually better for whyte. cause least whyte could plow forward attack the body and let off hooks. Now with fury’s style I think fury will make whyte gas out and I think whyte will be shown up badly when pushed on the back foot. there’s a big difference between whyte having back and forth wars with chisora to whyte having fury fienting and jabbing and clubbing his way forward. plus if that styles not working for fury he can still go on back foot and completely baffle whyte. whytes not the type of fighter to make adjustments during a fight.
I don't think Whyte is durable enough to take a sustained beating. It's hard to see Fury losing, he would really need to get complacent. Fury can easily devise a plan to deter Whyte from getting close enough to throw a big left hook, while at the same time jabbing Whyte's head off and throwing power punches of his own. The height difference would be considerable and Whyte's plodding footwork would be exposed. I am a fan of both - so I'd love to see it, but it's a terrible matchup for Whyte. In fact, all at the top level are. But Whyte does come with ambition and to fight, so it's always interesting, but I still think Joshua took half of his resistance away in that one fight and that's a huge problem.
