Agreed. Whyte is one of the most overrated fighters in the game.

Eddie won't be involved in the promotion IMO.

If the fight happens, it will be on Fury's terms and presumably BT Sport & ESPN.

However, I can see Matchroom and Whyte trying to get this to purse bids, but I think that would result in Fury vacating.

Let’s hope he does lose, because he is poor and basically just a lump that the heavyweights of the last great era, Lewis, Holyfield,Tyson, Bowe, wouldn’t have even used for sparring.

It amazes me people pay to watch him.

Completely agree and I thought he lost the first Chisora fight by a good couple of rounds.

He won’t vacate the WBC belt, not after the praise he has given them all week. They with prob make him franchise champion anyway now.

Whyte vs Wallin is certainly no gimme - the super swede is a live dog in this one.

I think Fury plays with Whyte, lets it go a few rounds before knocking him out at will.

If they fight next, who wins? Curious to see who you think.

I'm not talking about resumes either or 'Fury hasn't fought this and that person since coming back', just a winner.

I wouldn't take much notice of what Fury says. We all know he's inconsistent. He says himself he's on a downer after a fight and probably feels a bit overwhelmed given his mental state.

I'm sure in a couple of weeks he'll do a long sit down with IFL and the answers will be more interesting.

How do you possibly interpret his statement as "bottling a potential fight against Whyte" ?

He just came out of quite a hard fight, took some very hard punches (ones that would ruin a man like Whyte, btw) and isn't in the mood to start committing to building up the next one.

You really hate the guy, it's hilarious.

I notice this is a Gareth A Davies interview.

I appreciate he's doing his job as a reporter, but in defence of his questions on Sunday morning he cited his close friendship with Fury and how he was in contact during the height of his mental health issues.

If he's so close to Fury, he'll know that he's at his most fragile mentally in the immediate aftermath of a fight - as Fury (a bi-polar sufferer) has said himself. Why then is he doing an interview in that time period? Why not just give him some space?

If he is the friend of Fury's he claims, that's what he'd do. He gets some stick but Kugan (another friend of Fury's) hasn't done anything too big with him yet as he understands the need to give him some space.

Poor form from Gareth again IMO.

The same Whyte who had a lovely little nap in his promoters back garden after a pensioner, years past his sell by date, made him look silly ?

You still on about that Whyte ?

Don’t matter if you think Fury-Whyte is competitive or not he is the mandatory challenger. Either fight or relinquish the belt.
