When Wilder was lighter and more mobile he’d most likely take a decision off Ruiz, but with Wilder being older, heavier, and slower I don’t see Wilder doing very well.
I'm guessing they will give him a lighter touch after two fights with Fury and to regain some confidence. There are plenty of guys with good records who are in their mid-late 30s that are non-threats that wilder can smash easily.
Ruiz is a skilful boxer but he doesn't step back quick enough to avoid the right hand like Fury. It would be a great fight. Ruiz probably doesn't take it unless there's a belt on the line.
This. It's the same as nearly every other Wilder fight you could think of, except with Fury and perhaps Usyk. Wilder is losing... until he isn't. Ruiz will get hit and Arreola hurt him, dropped him. Wilder most likely puts him in a coma.
After Ruiz performance against Arreola I can’t see nothing but a brutal knockout loss for Ruiz should he be matched with Wilder
A while a go I would of picked Ruiz but after seeing Arreola put him down I can see Wilder KOing him.
Wilder KO, in both of AJ’s fights with Ruiz, he landed that right hand so easy. AJ’s got good power, so Andy’s chin is decent, but I don’t think he’ll eat a Wilder right hand just as easy. Ruiz will not make Wilder miss, he’s too stationary. Wilder is susceptible to hooks though, if Ruiz manages to land it early, he’s got a good chance.. but I say Wilder lands first
Ruiz by stoppage. Go back and watch AJ/Ruiz. No way Wilder makes it out of that fight on his feet, none at all. Ruiz has much more snap on his punches than Fury, he's faster and moves quite well given his stature. Make no mistake, Ruiz wouldn't fumble the bag twice at the top level. He knows what's on the line - he would take the fight straight to Wilder knowing full well he might get stopped. Just like he did against Joshua in fight 1.
