Tim by 10th round TKO. I think Tim would have found Holy's style and speed consternating. But Holy just wasn't a great heavy in 89, while Tim started peaking with Holmes. Holy would befoozle him in the beginning, then start getting worn down by Tim's right hand.
The version of both fighters were young but top conditioned and balance out as a comparison .. Witherspoon at his best was a terrific fighter although to me a career underachiever .. tricky, good defense, very good size, speed, big right hand power, terrific chin .. Holyfield was an exceptional fighter but at times rose or sunk to the level of his opposition .. that said, best for best I do feel Holyfield , who proved he could rumble with the best Riddick Bowe, could survive , out punch and outpoint Witherspoon in a hell of a fight even if the best Tim showed up ..
tough fight. Wow.. Evander just on his skill, but Tim would give him a great run. Anything could happen.
Holyfield. Witherspoon always had a bad workrate, even against Holmes. I watched that fight recently and gave Larry 8 rounds. Holmes was outlanding him like 3 to 1. Holy does the same, with Tim having some really good moments and hurting him at times.

Tim by late round stoppage. The minute Tim hurts Evander with that right, it is the beginning of the end. Evander has moments, but not enough of them, and Tim stops him.
