It’s a slippery slope though. PPVs inflate expectations. Chisora’s money expectation on Sky got so high he could only earn it via PPV. Now he’s on DAZN it’s been reset again and he’s part of the subscription, but for how long?
Will be interesting how things go if brother usyk knocks out AJ and wallin beats whyte. There are no UK fighters to replace AJ as pay per pudding superstars. The next guy after AJ and whyte in match room fc seems to be Connor Benn who most likely gets splattered at world level.
Connor Benn vs someone who went the distance with Terence Crawford ten years ago. The Ricky Hatton tribute act right near the top of the bill getting a gift decision against some part time journeyman. Redemption for Shannon Courtenay as she overcomes being on the blob to become a two time world champion. Alan Babic vs one of the obese security team who bravely agreed to step in as a last minute replacement to save the show. This STACKED card all for the bargain price of just £19.99. It's only the price of a takeaway or few pints, so what are you complaining about?
Don't forget to mention special guest appearances and analysis/top class banter from Tony Bellew, Kate Abdo, Maya Jama and Laura Woods
Imagine if Netflix started doing it with certain films. Having to pay a one off extra. That’s the whole point of a monthly subscription.
Just the UK and select markets I’d imagine. It’s all rather very cheeky. I wish someone would ask Hearn which is better value currently- an Amazon Prime subscription or a DAZN subscription. Both are the same price per month.
I doubt Canada will be on the PPV list along with the US. It’ll likely be some other European countries and Oceania.
We have it good here in NZ. Its still only 3 dollars a month here which is the equivalent of £1.50 for you guys.
I would be shocked if AJ leaves Sky PPV for DAZN PPV. DAZN would have to offer a seriously good deal where they take less money from the PPV buyrate for AJ to leave sky Just think about it for a minute. AJ pretty much knows the numbers he does on sky. He gets huge promotion with a far bigger reach then DAZN. AJ fighting on DAZN PPV does less numbers then on sky without a doubt so unless DAZN are guaranteeing him a bigger cut I just can't see why AJ would leave Sky PPV. Adam Smith seems to be pretty confident about AJ's future with sky here. This content is protected
Just watched Eddie's latest ifl interview, his desperation to have fury v whyte on dazn ppv is sick inducing. It eats him up inside that fury can do what he likes & there's not a thing he can do about it. He actually said he reckons whyte and aj both beat fury, he looks almost tearful on the subject of "justice for dillian" champions should be fighting the best he says. 2 minutes later he called kiko a " very acceptable defence " his sidekick frank Smith today said people will moan about martinez "but they'll tune in anyway" I beg to differ. I hope people are finally catching on to this slimeball.
