Martin improved a lot since he fought Yigit. The Garcia team thought they were getting THAT guy. Whoops. Time to go on a diet. Or retire.

The commentators were harping on the check right hook all night, and rightfully so - it was a very effective weapon for Martín, but the unsung hero was his somewhat hinky-looking but still accurate left cross, which he never threw quite straight, but put a little "break" on it when 80% of the way to its target so that it judded off the side of Mikey's jaw. Great rhythm-breaking punch.

 

I watched an interview with Robert Garcia a few days ago and he said they convinced him to take the fight.

 

I like Spaniards personally, have a lot of friends from the country. Their culture, food and general attitude makes them my mind of people.

 

CasKilla surrounded by men averaging well over a foot on her kind of has me wishing this was a P-Hub video...and that all three men were a lot more attractive.

 

I gotta be honest I wasn't too schooled on Martin until recently. I saw one of CST's threads about him and saw a lot to like. He has improved, has experience, and is trouble for anyone. Can move, has a great jab that he varies to get in and follows it with a great left, is a southpaw awkward, and also has inside defense and combos. Very solid fighter that has some very good match ups coming up to get paid and give us some good shows.

 

Mikey has pissed it away. Had the talent and ring IQ to be among the best of all time 140 and below. He had it all at those weights. Lacked discipline, and too many long stretches of inactivity.

 

Well, now I definitely get why he didn't want to fight Prograis. He would've been completely slaughtered.

 

Teofimo & his pops now just in the talking game. Just fight someone good or STFU.
