Yes but I recall that on a recent thread you criticized me for comparing Floyd with Norris

Ray Leonard is not Castillo or Oscar and does not excel in pressing the action.

Ray Leonard was only a runner

Lol obviously you're mixing Leonard up with someone else, have a personal dislike for him so bad it has blinded you , or you are a not a knowledgeable boxing fan.
Leonard was " Only a runner " is one of the most asinine comments I've seen on here in a long time..... Your not related to that Red Rooster hater are you?

    why would you say that?

I am simply comparing one fighter, Leonard, with a superior fighter, Mayweather

    Just as one would compare a GOOD record, 35 - 3 -1 with a great record, 50 - 0

both have controversial wins; Leonard has 2 while Floyd has one

and yes, Leonard was only a runner. He couldnt handle speed, and he couldnt handle movers

It is redrooster. I picked him months ago before he even slid back into SRL. Back to his wheelhouse now.

Mayweather had at least 3 fights that could reasonably have been scored a draw.

Mayweather's unbeaten record means very little. He wouldn't have beaten the version of Hearns that SRL beat. He wouldn't have beaten Wilfred as convincingly as SRL did. I doubt he would have beaten Hagler either.

    Mayweather is top 50 all-time.

    SRL is top 20 all-time.

most people have Floyd ranked well above Leonard

    that is fact

Floyd's record is much, much better

it is more continuous, and littered with nothing but name opponents, and the stars of the day

    his wins very convincing

and with none of those nasty knockout losses like Leonard

is there anyone Floyd did NOT face?

Log it back in and be true to yourself. There's plenty of room for that mad rooter in here given the dire quality of current trolls. At least you make humor a factor and fun can be had.

    No it isn't.

Even if it was, it wouldn't prove anything.

It doesn’t matter if Ray was the favourite at the time.

He was clearly past his best and fighting at a different weight.

And against Macho, he was nearly 41, with 6 years of inactivity.

It’s just silly looking at those fights.

    They are completely irrelevant.

If you want to compare Floyd with anyone, then compare him with Wifred. Because he compares more with him than anybody else who Ray fought.

    Please answer the following questions:

    1. Who did Floyd ever fight who was on Ray’s level?

    2. Why couldn’t Ray have backed him up with power and aggression?

    Ray was only a runner?

    Really?

He had a shootout with Tommy Hearns and knocked out Davey Boy Green etc.

Whilst Ray didn’t fight like Oscar and Castillo, he was a better fighter than what they were, and much more dangerous to Floyd.

Floyd had advantages in speed and skill over both of them.

Against Ray, he wouldn’t have held those same advantages.

Again, Floyd never encountered anything like Leonard before.

Leonard had equal skills, equal speed, equal size, but possessed much more firepower at the weight.

    Here comes the Boxrec stats.

    Quality over quantity.

Floyd beat more fighters and possessed greater longevity, but he doesn’t have the wins that Ray had.

He couldn’t handle speed or movers?

    Like Wilfred Benitez?

Again, who did Floyd fight that even compares to Leonard?

So Hagler was shot against Ray, but Ray wasn’t shot against Norris and Macho?

    Ha!

    1. No they don’t.

    2. It’s not a fact.

    3. Floyd never fought a prime ATG in his entire career.

Floyd’s record isn’t much better. It’s just longer.

    Who didn’t he face?

You know damn well that he didn’t face a prime Manny, because Roger had him spooked.

That was of course before we found out that it was Floyd who had taken PEDS before their bout.

All that whining and delaying, and it was Floyd who was guilty.

    You couldn’t make it up.

Floyd fought big named opponents, most of whom were on the slide.

    You’re too much.
