Well, if boxer does have 2 fights in row lost via stoppage, ofc he drops in rankings. Not only in this boxrec. It even does makes sense how you had lost : via UD, MD, SD or TKO/KO. A lot of sense. Where had been fight, what ranking an opponent had etc things. As always.
Well I personally think Boxrec has an awful ranking system. But they are based on algorithm predicting H2H (not entirely resume), and if you look at the resume over the last three years: Wilder is 2-2-1 coming off back to back losses, and was inactive for 20 month (which caused him to be removed from their rankings) Whyte is 4-1-0 coming off a win (Boxrec isn't going to take into account Povetkin's age). Anyway, we will find out in 2 weeks. If Whyte gets past Wallin, then he deserves his spot. If he loses, I'm sure Wilder will be at 4 again.
Wilder just took another L. I dont have a problem with whyte being ahead, since he avenged his loss to Povetkin.
Wilder shouldn't even be in top 10. Poor resume, zero boxing skills, one trick pony. Even bodybuilder hunts granddads to show his resume better than his resume's true color.
1.Fury 2. Wilder 3. Usyk 4. Joshua 5. Whyte that’s just my opinion. Usyk 2 Wilder 3 I don’t have a problem with. But someone should give Whyte a title shot already. It’s waaayyy overdue. There is no contender that has deserved a title shot more then Whyte literally waiting for years now.
By how I think they stack up H2H: 1. Fury 2. Usyk 3. Wilder 4. Joshua 5. Whyte By resume: 1. Fury 2. Usyk 3. Joshua 4. Whyte 5. Wilder
Yes wilder lost his last 2 of 3 bouts and the 3rd was a draw … of course whyte should be ahead of wilder
That's what I thought too. Whyte has Povetkin, Parker, Helenius, and Chisora on his record compared to Wilder just having Ortiz.
Not surprising. H2H I'd favour Wilder But resume wise, Whyte is willing to fight anyone and has fought / holds wins over a far better list of names.
