Johnson has a very strong case, I like Charles more in my opinion, Johnsons was smooth and went cleanly. While Charles seemed more brute and forceful.

Johnson was a jab merchant. He also mastered the rare skill of constantly jabbing whilst turning / moving to his right. It's pretty rare to see, much less at his level of skill. He'd get my vote.

Ezzard accomplished more as a fighter and you work everything off the jab....

The secret to jabbing well as you move right is to move your left foot first, just an inch or so, and jab as you move the foot, then pivot on it. You can throw the right hand as you pivot and get a lot of weight into it, or wait until the left foot sets, then turn over it and throw a hook. You take a very slight move of the left foot, you don't want to cross your feet. How far you move to the right is determined by the arc of the pivot you take, but move the left foot first.

This confused me a lot when I first started. My coach would say If you want to go left push off the right foot when it came to this... I wasn't prepared for how much it frustrated him for me to stop pushing off the left to jab and move right. I was ignorant enough to think he was giving me bad advice.

Johnson`s body mechanics were poor, his punch technique was poor.

Oh no! Cagey master fighting another cagey master doesn't look like muh highlight reels! He must be bad!

Absolutely asinine. Within 20 seconds Johnson lands a lovely counter right off his jab. The only reason Johnson even shoe shines a bit is because Moore is that slippery and you wont touch him enough otherwise.
