Fury was in 1st gear the whole fight for rounds on his comeback and to play possum for low-IQ Wilder. Looks like he fooled you too.

I agree that prime Wlad would have beaten Fury, but I think it would have been a decision win, not a knockout. (IMHO, of course.)

It's a tough call but I would have to favor a prime Wlad vs Fury.

Fury caught Wlad at 39 on a bad night. Wlad was regressing at that point as he looked awful in his previous fight as well.

Is nobody going to measure recovery powers?

Fury was able to take Wilder's punches. Wlad had a glass chin.

Kronk Fury would take Wlad into the trenches and drown him. Fury would never get knocked out by the likes of Sanders, Purrity or Brewster. He's a different kind of man.

Considering he almost beat him when he was 39... Yeah.

I think prime Wlad would've won on the cards against 2015 Fury.

I am less sure about my own cards or how 2021 Fury would fair.

When Fury beat Klitschko obviously Klitschko was at the end of his career. A changing of the guard kind of fight. Old lion vs young lion.

Then again if you want to take the best version of prime Wlad then you got to match him up against the best version of prime Fury. To me the best Fury so far was the Fury from Wilder 2.

I think the best Fury is better then the best Wlad.

Also Fury has shown that he can fight completely different in the rematch then in the first fight. He can fight different styles.

Just because Fury boxed Wlad the first time doesn’t mean he won’t come out guns blazing the second time around and knock Wlad out.

It's easy to not get knocked out by guys you never fought.

Fury would never even fight as aggressively as he did against Wilder against Wlad. He himself would get knocked out quicker. Don't even compare Fury's power to prime Wlad's power. Also, Fury would struggle to land anywhere near as much as he did against Wilder against Wladimir Klitschko to KO Wlad, even if Wlad decided to not throw any punches himself. Acting like Wilder and Wlad's defenses are even remotely on the same ballpark.

He won't come out gunz blazing because Wlad's defense is on another level compared to Wilder's. Wilder was getting outlanded by Artur Szpilka of all people, an utter journeyman at best. Wilder made Fury look better than what he was. No version of Fury would ever have as much success against Wladimir Klitschko. He wouldn't even dare to fight as aggressively. If he does, Wlad knocks him spark out. And even if Wlad decides to not throw any punches, Fury isn't even going to be able to land anything much to KO Wlad.

A lot of those 'cans' would humiliate or outright destroy Deontay Wilder.

Wlad can't ever play jab and hold on Fury.

Still? What has changed? I would probably give any version of Wlad a better chance against any version of Fury post Wlad than against the Fury he actually faced.
