Ugas ordered to fight in WBA 4 man tournament

    Ugas wants to unify against Spence Jr and Crawford and ideally make more money. The 4 man tournament would mean he would have to win his next two fights and be busy until March 22 to free up his schedule again. He is the only WBA champ ordered to fight into a tournament. He isn't in negotiations to fight either champ. Spence Jr is healing from an eye injury and Crawford are tied up with a fight against Porter.

    What would you do if you were Ugas?

    Yeah I'd be a bit dirty if I was him.

    The WBA is biggest joke of them all and that's saying something.

    For reference, the tournament is Ugas vs Stanionis and James vs Butaev.

    I don't hate the matchmaking, however it's gross if they're doing this to Ugas and no one else. One mandatory is fine but two in such rapid succession?

    Ideally I'd like to see Ugas vs Spence Jr and Crawford, but I also don't see those two so keen on making the fight either. Without the tournament I imagine Ugas would be looking a year out or 1-2 fights before a unification regardless. Spence Jr. is probably going to move up soon as well. We shall see. The 4 man tournament is probably not fair, but at least keeps him busy for the meantime.

    This is typical WBA garbage. Related to world champions, there can be tournaments to decide a champion for a vacant belt or unify a title or even to decide a title challenger. This situation is none of those. They should leave Ugas out, find a new fourth fighter and let the winner face Ugas. Ugas deserves much better.

    **** if you fool and take those stupid glasses off.. This weight bully Cuban took (marginally at that) the belts off an inactive 42 yo in an obvious PBC set up.. No one cares about your plight

    Ugas isn't a money fighter with good promotional backing. They'll throw him under the bus to maneuver the title to somebody more marketable.

    If it's a 4 man tournament for the WBA, all 4 participants will be gifted with different versions of the WBA championship.

    Where did you get that pic of the CSAC when they got the results of Antonio Margarito's supposed attempted glove load & the Lab found nothing harmful to his opponent in the wraps? LOL They still didn't have the decency to do the right thing & reinstate him though. That pic explains why LOL

    WBA again !!!!! Ugas won that title fair & square they have no right to order him into this. Instead find another patsy, let then fight the 4 man eliminator to find Ugas #1 contender
