I would assume we are talking about guys in his weightclass? I can't see BHOP ever competing above 175 which he always made easily. I remember reading an interview with him where he said he is never more than five pounds above his fighting weight.

Michael Nunn kod Kalambay in one round.
Kalambay was normally very durable, and Nunn certainly wasn't known as a banger.
That was a total, million to 1 shot, that put Kalambay down, if they faced each other another 5times, I don't see that happening again.

That's the same as putting Hopkins down and out. Would need to be a guy that strikes and gets him with a freak shot.

I don't like to call anything in Boxing a fluke or hail Mary, but that KO over Kalamby is the closest I can think of.

    It is, definitely.
Nunn never showed that type of early rounds, Ko power.
And SK never went out that early. Think he was only stopped one other time or so.

It's would need someone like Hearns, Benn, GGG, or Hagler, to run across the ring and steam him relentlessly for 3 mins and hope something detonates.

    In his weightclass? Very doubtful.

I guess he could get caught by a freak punch though and if he did it would be the usual suspects I'd pick, like Jackson, Tiger, Foster GGG etc.

Naturally. Hopkins is a mortal, while Johnny_B has bone crushing power.

I'm sure that Fitzsimmons would try his best to stop him early if you as Bob for that. He probably wouldn't accomplish that, but he'd certainly believe in himself like he always did.

Tiger hits plenty hard enough as far as I'm concerned

His main problem against Hopkins would be actually landing the money punch. Hops would have been awkward as hell.

I've never seen him in a list of punchers in my life tbh. At one point he went 13 fights in a row without a single stoppage. His record is very short on stoppage wins over quality guys.

They all look good in highlight reels of course. Tiger was an attrition guy. Great fighter tho!
