What do you see for Wilders career from here on...

Will Wilder now start fighting against bums to try and rack up a few wins and look like he's back? Will he fight top 10 guys to try and make himself worthy of a titled shot? Will he go after the top guys to get a few big paydays before he hangs em up?? How do you see it going? Your thoughts??

 

He will go back to fighting bums like the bum he is

 

I think he'll fight a pushover on another PBC PPV, and then tries to talk himself into a fight for one or more of the belts.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he fights for the ridiculous WBC Jeff Bridgesweight belt next, to call himself a "2 weight champ"

 

Back to being mismanaged

 

They'll put him back onto the PBC merry go round. Ruiz, Ajagba (since the luster is now off), Martin, Helenius etc.....

 

Lets wait and see.

 

The guy is nearly 37 and relies on explosiveness. It will be interesting to see who they match him up with

I think he will start to get ko'd by more people. straight ahead...choo choo...the station up ahead is bumville...watch your steps.

 

A tune-up or two then he'll get beat by someone most people won't expect to win.

 

Maybe he will fight Jason Gavern again for the WBF championship and say he is 2x champ

 

One soft touch to get a win and see what he has left, then perhaps a cashout fight against Joshua or someone similar. He's had a very lucrative career, so he also could retire and feel no shame. Love him or hate him, Wilder has been a lightning rod of discussion and brought some excitement to the division.

Same for Joshua. Much more enjoyable era with those two than the later era Klit, and I don't think either Fury or Usyk will be that satisfying a HW champ for various reasons.

 

Like him or not - he is a money maker and the American market has nothing after him in the division. So that means he is still very viable. Hence the WBC’s disgraceful decision to keep him the number 1 contender after back to back beatdowns.
Wilder and no one else must decide if his health is worth making some extra money at this point. He took two terrible beat downs and if he doesn’t want to end up like a Ezzard Charles or Riddick Bowe he may want to exit. It’s not going to get easier for him now.
He should stay away from punchers but that will lead to more people saying he is a joke. If anything I think he should fight Ruiz. He has immense height and reach on him and he can claim being the best American heavy and maybe he can get a big money match with Usyk or Joshua. There is no point for Fury anymore to face him.

 

He's still extremely marketable but there's really nowhere to go as long as Fury holds a belt and Joshua and Usyk will be tied up for most of next year and the winner will be in line for Fury by late 2022 . So he can fight a beatable opponent but won't be near a title shot until 2023 and only if Joshua or Usyk defeats Fury. If Fury holds all 4 belts by then no one wants to see him fight Wilder again. His window is closing rapidly.

 

He can always dig up cans and Kayo them. Have a look at his string of "defenses" if you think he has no options left.

People on twitter who watch 20 seconds of the fight don't care about belts. They want to see a head bounce and say "Wilder is back!!"
