Eddie said in his interview with IFL over the weekend, they have just decided to crowbar in a new UK show early December, venue and fights still not decided. This has to be Dazn's request, something tells me they aren't exactly pleased so far for what they got for their money, to be left this late in the day and to add it with no Venue or fixed date decided. Eddie's normally way ahead when having venues tied up, fights lined up etc. Any idea who's likely to be on the card?
Eddie Hearn has plenty of boxers who could be ready to box on a show in December, but otherwise I agree that Eddie Hearn seems a little pressured.
There's one thing I do not understand. Eddie Hearn left Sky Sports because DAZN could offer financial resources in a completely different size than Sky Sports. For me, it has been incredibly difficult to spot a quality boost in Matchrooms Boxing events...
DAZN UK monthly standard card equivalent to Sky Sports Boxing now £7.99 pay per view monthly DAZN UK Box Office equivalent to Sky Sports Box Office soon to be Super PPV Loot at £29.99 pay per pudding Game Changed
There has been no visible improvement in Matchroom cards from Sky to DAZN in my opinion and all that has happened is Matchroom have lost marketing advantages of being with Sky. Sky have also ensured that they have effectively plugged the hole that Matchroom may have thought they may have left ! The next 6 months will be crucial for Eddie and he needs to pull some rabbits out of the hat pretty quick.
Eh Day scraping the bowels of Matchroom HQ in an attempt to fill his small number of 18 shows per year.
