I see Jimmy lasting the distance. He was as durable as Tony Tucker,James 'Bonecrusher' Smith,James Tillis and Mitch Green.
I did not realize that in all his losses he was only stopped twice. He was very elusive, question is if Shavers with his more primitive skills could get him... Before he started that string of losses against '80's guys, he likely lasts, I would change my vote!
I think he could have eluded Tyson enough to make it to the cards. He might even have stollen a few rounds
Y'know if he had replaced Tillis-a win by him might be LIKELY given Tyson's performance against a relatively similar style & how close their fight was. Not after then until he was way past prime though.
I disagree. Young would have definitely lasted the distance but I don't think he would have won, as his punch output was too low. Tyson was way busier than Young offensively and that ultimately is what sways the judges.
The Young who beat Foreman gets obliterated by Tyson. Tyson was spoon fed Jimmy Youngs his entire career, amateur and pro.
So was 42-1 underdog, won’t last more than 90 seconds, Buster Douglas and then, all of the sudden, it’s over and it’s over and it’s over….
