He just sounds really confused, in one breath he is saying he has different styles and don't need to learn any more and just needs to be more of the "old AJ", somewhat more aggressive and straight forward.. but concedes he can't just go in there swinging.. And in the next breath he is saying he needs to go around different gyms and learn from different trainers. A huge thing for me was when he revealed what he said/asked Clifton Mitchell.. 5 minutes before the first bell against Usyk and he is asking him for advice.. Seriously? Really? That's a worry, obviously AJ didn't have the confidence, didn't have the belief in what he was doing. In general, He sounds like he is looking for answers, he doesn't understand what went on, he is looking for some perfect formula with his trainer and team and the truth is there isn't one. This idea of spending time with a trainer in US and Rob McCracken in the U.K. just doesn't make sense to me, who's gameplan do you go with? What gameplan do you train for? What's the point of getting solid advice from a US trainer and it working well then on fight night having McCracken in the corner telling you something different. It all sounds a bit of a mess, AJ has some time but not much, he can't be going backwards and forwards to the US and prepare for Usyk without a secure solid understanding of what he is going to do.
If he doesn't put on the show of his life in the usyk he is done as a boxer. he just cant compete with the rest of the heavy weights
