Joe Frazier vs Tua & Holyfield

IMO Frazier would have whupped Tua any day in the week, twice on sunday.
Unless if he walked into a bomb early.......
think it would be a good match up & a competitive fight. I think Joe’s legendary work rate, output, superior speed, skills, defenses and especially his MUCH greater mental toughness gets the job done late on.
But with Tua did have a stronger chin a vicious left hook, so I would not write The Tuaman off…

I think Holyfield stays on the outside in the early rounds, tries to keep joe off of him, but then Frazier cut the ring off and force him to fight a war. Holyfield, who never minded an "inside slugfests" would meet Joe punch for punch and it would be a truly all time battle.
Holyfield was, according to foreman, a better fighter than Joe skills wise.
HOWEVER, Formean also stated Joe was tougher.
I will also add that Joe was better conditioned and a harder puncher. Due to his better stamina, i think smokin' joe would have had the strength advantage as well.
Holyfield was probably faster with a better chin, so this would be anything but an easy fight for joe.
In overral, i would favor Joe to wins this fight by a hard fought decision........But lord what a war this would be!!

 

Ruddock has next to no chance of beating peak Frazier.

 

If I had to bet money, I'd pick Frazier over Holyfield by decision but it would be a helluva fight. Tua, I'm not so sure about, they are both kinda similar, and I think it would be great while it lasted but if Bonavena could floor Frazier, then Tua definitely could, so I'd put my money on the Tuaman.

 

Holyfield vs Frazier would be a war to death. This one could surpass the FOTC.

Two guys pounding away close each other: One is bigger, stronger, harder puncher, better chin and got a degree for the most thrown punches in a HW bout also. Terrible terrible style match for Joe. He had to show something like he did against Foreman 2. Otherwise, he got slim chance to win this.

 

Primes. Give me Tua and Holyfield. Tua's power is too much vs Frazier who loved to trade, and Holyfield is a a much better boxer with a tough chin.

Regarding Holyfield, your right he may beat Joe. I think it would be fight of the year everytime. Their very much alike..realistically he wouldn't use his boxing skills. That would probably be disaster if he tried. Evander would fight Frazier.
I like Frazier to win a decision with a knockdown. Holyfield would be content to fight inside with Smoke. Over the distance it would cost him. Evander could fight well inclose but Smokey Joe lived in there.

It would be like quick sand for Holy.

Good joke. Plenty beat him in a hook duel: Tyson, Bowe, Foreman, Liston, Morrison, Tua, just to name a few.

Those men had 2 good hook hands, Frazier only has 1.

 

Holyfield was 186lbs for Qawi and 24lbs heavier when he won the title from Douglas.

Joe Frazier was more powerful with his lefthook. He used it like a machine. Under/over over/under
Frazier would be slipping and sliding under many of those hooks. Joe Frazier was one of the best inside heavyweights in history. Joe had two hands as well. His right was alway in the mix. He didn't score knockouts with it but not a one handed fighter.
