I would happily watch Fury slap the bad taste out of his mouth and show the bum his level

Hardly anyone is saying that Whyte doesn’t deserve a title shot. (He deserves it more than Ruiz deserved the shot when he upset Joshua, for example) People are just ridicuoling the garbage about him being the most hard done by fighter, him being frozen out of the title scene when in fact he rejected title eliminstors on more than one occasion and outright turned down a shot at Joshua. I mean, one can argue that if anything WBC was kind to him, by making him the “interim” champ even after he rejected their eliminators.

But, when Breazeale was made mandatory, him and Whyte should’ve been ordered to face each other to determine the mandatory instead, I’ll give him that.

Yes...the WBC were so, so kind to him...

I'm sure the interim title had nothing to do with media pressure, and threats of legal action.
600, or 1000 days at #1, was it?
Well they gave him an interim title, so he's no longer #1. Bad PR problem fixed.

Let's face it, the only reason he is now getting this fight after nearly 5 years of waiting, is Whyte finally came to his senses and started litigation against the WBC in 2020.

    Over 1000 days.

Lets just give him a shot and let him get whooped and finally learn his place.

He deserves it but I think the odds of him beating Fury are slim.

Then again, Fury could balloon up to over 300 pounds and drink six quarts of beer before the fight. That would change the odds a bit.

After getting ktfo by Povetkin he should have lost his place. The guys a protected whiner whose whinning is a bit much.

I think most people are a little peeved that Whyte and pulled out of his latest fight with an "injury"..

So...the exact same criticisms people have had about Joshua (when he was stopped by Ruiz J.) and Wilder (when he was stopped by Fury)
    Americans say Joshua was protected
    Brits say Wilder was protected
What's good for the goose, is good for the gander

Whyte does deserve a shot but let's face it he's not the same fighter he was 4/5 years back. If he did have a shot and got the opportunity now it probably won't go well for him. Looks slow movement is minimal after round two never been his bag but gasses out easily these days. A few years back might have had a slim chance but just don't see him at that level now. Kind of shows up what's wrong with boxing promoters and there own agenda's things get so dragged out some fighter's miss there opportunities

But who made Whyte #1 in the first place?
It was the WBC and their crap rankings that have Whyte at #1.

5 years ago, Whyte wasn't even deserving of a top 10 ranking at all. He'd beaten guys like old Brian Minto and Dave Allen, that's all. And been sparked out by AJ, that's all.

We already knew that Whyte backing out of the Wallin fight was going to lead to a Fury fight next. Lets not act surprised. Does he deserve it? Sure, he beat povetkin in the rematch and obtained a number 1 contender rank. It is what it is.

Not a bad choice for a title shot it's slim Pickens. Fury is in decline or soon will be. I doubt he come in shape..
