Plant (Now) vs Golovkin (2016-17)

I find GGG overrated because his resume is poor but he would destroy Plant.

He beat Canelo twice so how can he be overrated?
P4P number 1 lost to an old Golovkin twice... how can GGG be overrated?

His resume is poor because nobody wanted to fight him. He'd obliterate them if they stepped up.

 

people forget ggg was mid 30s and still gave canelo hell. most people had ggg winning boths fights as did i.

 

Trout, Lara, Jacobs also had close fights with Canelo, this doesn't tell the full story

 

We will never know because his best win is a close fight against Jacobs

 

i think his wins over titleholders at MW (one, Lemieux) shows he can put up a good fight at SMW.
but its another question whether he can win.

 

He could only fight who would actually get in the ring with him at that time...If you remember, Sturm ran, canelo relinquished the belt , darren barker was to be his mando & promptly retired due to sudden injury(?) Even Froch said he hits like a mule & never been down who needs him? So try & be a bit fair, he has slowed to a slow pace, his engine is still there & that unbelievable chin, power well maybe...I know how they say the last thing to go is power but trying to be fair & objective here. GGG's power is good(obviously & drug free) but it relies heavily on his timing & shifting footwork etc. I just feel his loss of pace may have upset that brilliant timing ? Maybe i am looking to hard but its obvious he is not the threat he once was...still a great fighter IMO.

Of course, Jacobs fight was a draw, he lost to Lara and narrowly beat Trout imo.
