We will remember him by these adjectives:

    The Big Dosser
    One Trick Pony
    The Bronze Dosser
    Wife of Tyson Fury
    The Basketballer

It is hard for me to believe that he would be now.

Not really. He held the title 5 years and made 10 successful defenses, and showed tons of heart and power against Fury.

I actually rate him over AJ, who I think would have quit against Fury. I can't see him giving Fury even half the fight Deontay did.

Wilder is imo the best heavyweight today who isn't Fury.

    Interesting position.
The Ring, TBRB, The PBO and Boxrec all have the exact same top 5:
    1. Fury
    2. Usyk
    3. Joshua
    4. Whyte
    5. Wilder

Let's hope we get to finally see Wilder fight Whyte, Joshua and even Usyk

I'm shocked to see Whyte and Joshua placed over him. I don't think either have a chance against him.

Usyk...it's more than possible he outboxes Deontay in a snoozer. But hey, Wilder is a bit like today's Shavers, ya never know.

Actually, I made a slight error there. The ring have Wilder at #4, again.
Think they shuffled things around when Rivas won the Birdgerweight title
But their rankings look truly awful anyway, so best ignore them

I'm not sure Whyte really does rank with any of the names above, I doubt he can beat any of those guys. Really doubt.

Yeah, if it were a H2H rankings I would more than likely agree with you, but I would still have the top 2 Fury and Usyk until proved differently

Wilder's greatness will never be about his boxing talent but about his opponent's carelessness.

He'll be known for two things - ducking and pig-headed stupidity.

Ducking barely needs talking about - when you've publicly ducked Wlad, AJ, Whyte, Povetkin, that goes without saying.

The stupidity comes in two forms... One is to get back in there (twice) with a guy that dismantles you when grossly unfit and you get a lucky draw.
The other is to make a huge list of absolutely implausible excuses for getting comprehensively beaten by a fighter who is clearly levels above you.

Put it all together and you have a fraud, terrified of proving otherwise and so desperate to save face that you let your own get smashed up.

Throw in turning down $100 mill from DAZN in there too as an example of stupidity and ducking as well actually. He would of gotten $20 mill to fight Breazeale alone which for 2 mins work is ludicrous. Not to mention $80 mill for two fights with Joshua.

Indeed - file under pig-headed stupidity, of course.

If he beats a proper top 10 fighter, his record would look a lot more impressive, but with his only remotely impressive win being Ortiz, it says something.
