I agree w/hopkins being great w/established career but prospects are the future and b-hop is almost gone! People like gamboa because of his speed and combos, good foot movement; too early to be a nuthugger of his though so i agree w/ur question!

I was going to say this, he was a top level amateur aswell at that. Hes fought good opponents for an 11-0 fighter and is just adapting to the pro rank rather than learning like most 11-0 fighters. (I dont mean hes not still learning i mean hes a lot more schooled than other fighters with the same pro record)

I guess changing of the guards will happen in two, three or four years MAX and gamboa is will the heir to the apparent thrown!!!

Nobody could ever live up to his hype, but he's nice. Aggressive as ****, ridiculous handspeed, and takes it to his opposition. He has what Tyson had; he's not trying to box, he's trying to Knock somebody the **** out. As he moves up the food chain, decisions will be less frequent. He'll either be gettting KTFO, or dealing it.

I like watching Gamboa he's very exciting... i still pick Linares over him though.

I'd like to see him step it up a bit.

I'm not a Pac hater, but I do despise useless ******* fanboys. The *******s here are just responding with garbage threads like this because they cannot win, but instead of this, they ought to just give up in general.

Plus, *******s feel threatened by Guzman's and Gamboa's, take sides with Linares across the board, when he's several levels below this level. It's laughable.

And Gamboa is not god, Mijares is God. Gamboa is a god-King boxer.

Mijares is a supernatural, as is Gamboa. Supernatural describes a special type of flashy technical fighter that is also damaging and has a warrior strive.

The reality that everyone is going to have to deal with is that Mijares and Gamboa are the future P4P #1 and 2, but who is which? We'll find out.

im sorry to disappoint you blanco, but to put the record straight, theres only two of us pinoys here out of some 60 who are not buying into the gamboa (over)hype. and we are not haters.

of course there is no question about the talent and power in gamboa, but to say that he would beat the pacman and hatton and other elite fighters of some weight classes above him is CRAZY, CRAZY and CRAZY, period.:patsch

fighting 400 3 rounder against fellow amateurs doesnt mean anything at pro, save for the fact they have got some solid starting point when they turned pro. unless of course you think that a 400 3 rounder fights against fellow amateurs is enough to whoop the p4p king and hatton. :patsch
