looking to score a fight

If you are as inexperienced in boxing as you say you are, I’m game even if it’s just to see what you come up with.

 

I've not really got enough time most weeks to make this a constant thing like I could when I was working, but I'd pop in and score a one off, or do a few every now and then.

I'll read through your other thread now and see what sort of fight you might like. I've been tagged five times in those threads lol

 

Do you want it to be a close / controversial or clear / dominant performance? I was going to suggest either Canelo - GGG 1 or Duran - Hagler for bouts with some subjective, somewhat challenging rounds to score but an overall (mostly) clear consensus on who won the fight. But you won't really find anyone here who hasn't watched these yet (maybe you have as well).

Idk what to suggest to be honest. I never thought about what I chose to score before. I just dove right in, but only after learning about proper scoring criteria and reading dozens of other scores and analysis. I'd second McGrain's recommendation to go to the scorecard thread. There you can find fights you like the sound of on that thread and even compare your scores and talk to other posters about how they got those scores etc. I used to do that with phillyphan, scar, jel etc when I was first scoring.

 

Basing it off your list, I'd say you're a fan of heavyweights. So I don't think we should do any of them, since you're likely gonna wind up watching those anyway.

A half decent, and very polarising chess match is Lupe Pintor's fight with Carlos Zarate. It's extremely controversial, and a good showing of skills from both. Especially Zarate. It went the full distance, both were all-time great bantamweights (and your list didn't have any fighters from 118 iirc). It's not a great fight but it's a good chess match.
